Tommy developed the core math, physics, and graphics libraries used in the game, as well as designing the game engine architecture. The early versions of the physics, collision, and animation modules came from the various projects he worked on for other classes. He worked on the Sophomore game “Vectron Assault” with Thom Strandberg (also a first-person shooter, but in a retro style).
Previously, Tommy worked at Microsoft Research developing casual games. While completing “The Shaman Engines,” he began working at Microsoft Game Studios as a tools developer for the Game Test Organization.
